New flow cytometry strategies allow researchers to address the study of biological nano-particles (BNP) up to the single-particle level.

Currently, viruses and extracellular vesicles are BNPs of interest both environmentally and ecologically, but also in biomedicine to find biomarkers in human diseases.

Consequently, the scientific community is working hard to properly identify and isolate BNPs. The proposed course will introduce these current new applications to address the study of BNPs of interest using flow cytometry as the main technology for its subsequent multiomics analysis. The main aim of the course is to provide tools to study BNPs of interest in the human and global microbiome and interactions between different types of BNP in biotechnology, as well as the environmental and public health perspective.
