Learning objectives

Access genomics data from public repositories
Know different data formats used in genomics
Be able to use the Linux commands to parse and convert those formats
Introduction to R and data analysis 2019
Topics that will cover the course:
Introduction to R and R Studio.
Basics of R: syntax, objects, simple arithmetic.
Data types and data structures.
How to use functions.
Reading and writing files.
Installing and using packages. Getting help.
Plots in R: base plotting and introduction to ggplot2 package.
Introduction to data analysis with R.

Basics of Bioinformatics 2018
This course will allow any CRG student to perform basic bioinformatics
and use the most common tools for their projects. Each topic includes 1-4 short
assignments (15’ videos or short readings) that the students must undertake
during the week before the actual session (of 1h) on Fridays. During the
interactive session, the teachers answers questions and explains the next
topic.
